Atome - Live radio show by Anna Gschnitzer

The play tells the story of a young woman who returns from the city to the province after years of absence. The "Alpenwall", like a world beyond the visible, and the bunker complexes, built during World War II and partially rebuilt during the Cold War, play a central role in this story. As a metaphorical and at the same time concrete scene of her childhood, these bunkers are both places of nostalgia and panic for the protagonist. In them she tries to trace the mechanisms of fear and security, mechanisms through which history and memory are inscribed in the present. As a projection surface for the fear of terror, but also as a repository of the history of the European war, the idiosyncratic architecture of the bunkers has an effect on the young woman's body and psyche. Despite the dark and oppressive context in which the action takes place, the piece tells of hope and utopia.

Total Quality Woman - Theatrical Performance

Networked TV, digital and everything "under control". Resized or enhanced, the possibilities of self-actualization seem endless. Everything is possible, if it breaks, it's your fault. Life is a piece of design in various price categories, displayed in social media windows, just one click away from football, but gigantic miles away from the desire that is never satisfied. The search for real matches fails because of the high demands of oneself, which hardly leave room for the uncontrollable. Is proximity possible even when the other is only a projection screen for one's own reflection? In their first joint production, the five actresses of binnen-I deal with these themes in a joyful and powerful way, with selected lyrics, dance and music, and set out in search of themselves behind the mirror.
