International Museum Day – Open Day

16 May 2021

According to the motto: Museums inspire the future

The past year was marked by the pandemic, which turned all our lives upside down. Now it is time to look to the future with courage and inspiration.
On International Museum Day we want to inspire the imagination of young and old with our program. Chris Mader's black light theater will take us into a magical world, Leni Leitgeb's stories will take us to distant lands, and the treasure hunt and the guided tours of Franzensfeste Fortress will show how the past and the future are interwoven. Those who like it cozy have the possibility to enjoy a brunch in the historical ambience with live music by the band Werth Quartett.

In addition, the spacious fortress offers enough room to move around freely even in this times. Numerous corners lend themselves to a leisurely picnic when the weather is nice.
There is much to discover and accompanied by our varied program you can spend a special day in the Franzensfeste Fortress.
