International Museum Day

We have many offers to participate in. It’s all about stories, home, diversity, history and art. There is something for children and adults.

Our programme:

10:00-17:30
„Sei di Fortezza se… / Du bist aus Franzensfeste, wenn…“
A hands-on workshop. People from Fortezza tell memories and stories. Together we create a big picture of our community.

10:00-17:30
„Dai quattro angoli del mondo / Aus allen vier Ecken der Welt“
Where do we come from? The participants show their origins on a large world map. This shows how colourful and diverse our community is.

11:00-16:00 (break 12:00-13:30)
„Racconti della Fortezza d’argento e d’oro / Erzählungen aus der silbernen Festung“
In this open storytelling format, former soldiers and people from the neighbourhood share their very personal memories of the fortress. These are individual stories that together create a multi-layered picture of the past and everyday life around the site. In this way, history comes alive – from different perspectives and experiences.

15:00-17:00
„Natura – Architettura / Natur und Architektur“
A workshop on the relationship between nature and architecture. Participants will discover how the landscape influenced the construction of the fortress. They will work with felt, a soft material, as a contrast to the hard stones of the fortress. This creates an exciting dialogue between nature, architecture and feeling.

„HistoryLab: dove storici si diventa – Historiker werden“
A workshop for children. They learn in a playful way how history is researched and why it is important.

14:00-16:30
„Ich könnte das auch / Potrei farlo anche io“
A creative workshop for all ages. What is contemporary art? What does it mean? And: Can I do it too? Here you can try things out, make things, discover!
