Langtext

The youngest mechanical instrument ever invented. Adolphe Sax, with his patent of 1846, invented the instrument that would later become popular in Jazz music and then, especially in recent decades, also in classical and contemporary music: the saxophone. The evening will be entirely dedicated to this instrument, highlighting its sound qualities, its flexibility of tone and its rainbow of colours and sound nuances. The repertoire will range from original classical music for saxophone through transcriptions by composers such as Poulenc and Cimarosa to pieces with jazz and popular influences. A special evening not to be missed.
