For the first time, the Franzensfeste Fortress is organising a Christmas market on three days in December. It will take place in the context of Art in Advent from Friday, 13 December (from 2 p.m.) up to and including Sunday, 15 December from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Beautifully crafted by South Tyrolean artisans* and culinary delicacies from regional suppliers await you at the various stands of the Christmas market, which has been set up in the covered and heated supply building no. 37 of the fortress.

Come by and let yourself be taken on a very special Christmas idea trail. Take the opportunity to get one or the other present for your loved ones. The exclusive selection of high-quality handicrafts:

- wooden jewellery from Jakov&Nora
- Handmade textiles from sustainable materials of the social cooperative VergissMeinNicht from Bruneck
- Originally designed fashion accessories, furniture, clothes and much more from recycled materials by renarro meran
- Wooden bowls from Tagraum Meran
- Beautiful and readable paper from Papierwerkstatt Linienwerk from Naturns and Marameo Lab from Bolzano

as well as culinary delicacies from the region, offered by Bistro Franzensfeste, invite you to stroll, shop and taste.
On Saturday and Sunday (2 to 4 p.m.), all children are invited to the craft workshop to make paper stars in silhouette for the Christmas tree or as presents.

On Saturday, 14 December at 7 p.m. in the powder magazine of the fortress there will also be a concert "Christmas chants" with the Duo Exception: The duo consists of Veronika Kopjova on piano and Massimiliano Girardi on saxophones. You can read more about it here.
