The focus of this second edition of the WOMENfortress was on the theme of identity, both one's own and that of others: that of the fortress, which is undoubtedly characterised by an inscribed masculinity, the identity of the visitors, who also left behind an image of themselves through their traces, of historically significant personalities and of women in particularly difficult life situations.
The artistic exploration of the theme resulted in very personal positions and interpretations from the various fields of visual and performing arts as well as literature.
