The past year was marked by the pandemic, which turned all our lives upside down. Now it is time to look to the future with courage and inspiration.
On International Museum Day we want to inspire the imagination of young and old with our program. Chris Mader's black light theater will take us into a magical world, Leni Leitgeb's stories will take us to distant lands, and the treasure hunt and the guided tours of Franzensfeste Fortress will show how the past and the future are interwoven. Those who like it cozy have the possibility to enjoy a brunch in the historical ambience with live music by the band Werth Quartett.

In addition, the spacious fortress offers enough room to move around freely even in this times. Numerous corners lend themselves to a leisurely picnic when the weather is nice.
There is much to discover and accompanied by our varied program you can spend a special day in the Franzensfeste Fortress.

Our magical program on International Museum Day:

Brunch with the Werth Quartett:
11.30 - 13.30 (depending on the weather in the bistro or in the inner courtyard)

Black light theater with Chris Mader, in the powder magazine
Active seminar, from 8 years: Work out, craft, learn and perform magic together from the world of black light theater. Participation in the seminar is by registration, either in advance by Saturday, May 15 to: info@franzensfeste.info or on site at the entrance at the ticket counter. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received. A maximum of 12 participants is allowed per seminar.
Demonstration: Following learned techniques of black light theater, mysterious and amazing stage effects will be created with simple means. Hands appear out of nowhere, balls of color magically float through the air, a fire ignites and goes out, the ghost dance is unstoppable. Together we take a trip into the land of creativity and the spectators are transported into a fantastic world.

1st seminar from 10.45 with demonstration at 12.15
2nd seminar from 14.30 with demonstration at 16.00

With courage and heart through the world - stories by Leni Leitgeb,in the supply building.
The storyteller Leni Leitgeb spins the red thread of tales from yesterday to tomorrow. Folk tales from all over the world show that the future belongs to the brave and to those who listen to their hearts. For children from 5 years and adults.
14.00 - 14.30, 15.00 - 15.30, 16.00 – 16.30

Treasure hunt:
10.15 – 11.15 and 14.00 – 15.00

Guided tours:
upper fortress and bunker
from 11.00 - 13.00 and from 15.00 - 17.00
Open tours: continuously between 10.00 and 16.30 (for groups of 10 people)

 

Admission is free, but the access regulations according to the South Tyrol Corona Pass Area apply.
